When the Angel of the Lord called Joseph as son of David, we all know that Angel of the Lord is referring King David who lived around 850 years before - Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 1:18-20
And now Jesus is calling Simon Peter as son of Jonah in 3 different situations - When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am? So they said, Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven - Matthew 16:13-17, John 1:42, John 21:15, John 21:16, John 21:17
Who is Jonah here? - there was a great prophet named Jonah who lived around 500 years before in the same region, And this Jonah suffered lot while carrying the Lord's message to the Gentiles.
And also Bible tells that Prophet Jonah lived between Nazareth and Capernaum - In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin. He restored the border of Israel from Lebo-hamath as far as the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord, the God of Israel, which he spoke by his servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet, who was from Gath-hepher. For the Lord saw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter, for there was none left, bond or free, and there was none to help Israel. But the Lord had not said that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, so he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash - 2 Kings 14:23-27
If God could remember Jonah, and chase his generation even after 500 years, Definitely your sacrifice for Jesus Christ will not go vain.
எருசலேமில் வாழ்ந்த தாவீது ராஜாவைப் போல, காத்தேப்பேர் என்ற ஊரில் வாழ்ந்தவர் தான் யோனா என்ற தீர்க்கதரிசி, அந்த காத்தேப்பேர் இயேசு கிறிஸ்து வாழ்ந்த நசரேத்துக்கு மிக அருகிலும், நசரேத்திலுருந்து கப்பர்நகூமுக்கு போகும் வழியிலும் இருக்கிறது - 23.யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் அமத்சியாவின் பதினைந்தாம் வருஷத்தில், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் யெரொபெயாம் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவில் நாற்பத்தொரு வருஷம் அரசாண்டு, 24.கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்கள் ஒன்றையும் அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை. 25.காத்தேப்பேர் ஊரானாகிய அமித்தாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் குமாரன் யோனா என்னும் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனைக்கொண்டு இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே, அவன் ஆமாத்தின் எல்லை முதற்கொண்டு சமபூமியின் கடல்மட்டுமுள்ள இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லைகளைத் திரும்பச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டான். 26.இஸ்ரவேலின் உபத்திரவம் மிகவும் கொடிது என்றும், அடைபட்டவனுமில்லை, விடுபட்டவனுமில்லை, இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ஒத்தாசை செய்கிறவனுமில்லை என்றும் கர்த்தர் பார்த்தார். 27.இஸ்ரவேலின் பேரை வானத்தின் கீழிருந்து குலைத்துப்போடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லாமல், யோவாசின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் கையால் அவர்களை ரட்சித்தார் - II இராஜாக்கள் 14:23-27
