Previous Chapter: You shall see heaven open
Christ's first Miracle recorded in the Book of John is turning water into wine, Christ did this miracle right after his promise that we can see "God of Heaven", and this miracle that took place at Cana of Galilee and filled with parables[riddles], If we read this miracle by thinking of any of worldly weddings, this will give different meaning, but if we read this just by focusing on Christ's promise that we can see our Heavenly Father, the same miracle will revel God's abundant love and his plan towards us, so when you read the Wedding of Cana, don't keep yourself in the worldly wedding hall, instead just focus on Christ's promise that we can see "God of Heaven" - 1.On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the Mother of Jesus was there. 2.Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding - John 2:1-2
The village of Cana still present in Israel, which is located about 18km from the sea of Galilee, but the "Cana of Galilee" mentioned in this miracle is our Heavenly destination that we can inherit only by the blood of Jesus Christ - To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance - Psalms 105:11
This Heavenly Cana where our Almighty God dwells, so the Spirit of God wrote like this "The Mother of Jesus was there", and He is the one who arranged this marriage supper, and no other word is found to tell the tender heart of our Heavenly Father, so the Spirit of God called him as "Mother of Jesus" and the brides are his disciples - Then he said to me, Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ And he said to me, These are the true sayings of God - Revelation 19:9
The Heavenly Cana is not like the earth that we live which is filled with curses and darkness, but the Heavenly Cana where the Mother of Jesus lives is full of Joy, and there is no sorrow, no sin, and no death, but the disciples who is under the curses of death cannot make it, so the Mother of Jesus said to His Son "They have no wine", and the same Mother of Jesus[Heavenly Father] is the one who sent his begotten son to save us from the eternal hell - 3.And when they ran out of wine, the Mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no wine. 4.Jesus said to her, Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come - John 2:3-4
While the Father[Mother of Jesus] and Son Jesus Christ[Bridegroom] is talking about our salvation, there are some servants working at the Wedding, he might be a servant for Heavenly Father and Son Jesus Christ, but for us he is Spirit of God, so the truth is, Father, Son and Holy Spirit all of them worked together for our salvation - 5.His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it. 6.Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7.Jesus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8.And He said to them, Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast. And they took it - John 2:5-8
At the end of the wedding, the disciples got new name "believers", because they all are satisfied and filled with the new wine - 9.When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10.And he said to him, Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now! 11.This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him - John 2:9-11
