Isaac's Explanation
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Father, Son of the Word, and Son of the Holy Spirit
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Father, Son of the Word, and Son of the Holy Spirit
Previous Chapter: Abraham's Explanation
In the previous chapter, we saw how Christ revealed his Trinity to Abraham, In this chapter, we will see how the Lord revealed His Trinity through the Birth of Isaac.
When Christ visited Abraham as a three person and showed that He is the Son of the Father, Son of the Word, and Son of the Holy Spirit, the same recorded as a transfiguration of Jesus Christ in the new testament, and apostles Peter, James, and John witnessed Him as a three person - 1.And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2.And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground - Genesis 18:1-2
When apostles Peter saw the transfiguration of Jesus Christ, he said lets make three tents and expressed his desire to continue stay in God's glory, but Abraham did it little differently, He asked Sarah to make a bread from three measures of finest flour, Here three measures of finest flour represents the three men visited Abraham, and Abraham desired all three of them to born in the family line of Sarah, so asked her to make a bread - 3.And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 4.Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5.And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said. 6.So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. Quick, he said, get three seahs of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread. 7.Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it - Genesis 18:3-7
Though Abraham had many servants including Hagar, he asked Sarah to make a bread, because Christ must born in the line of Sarah, and not in the line of Hagar, but at the time of meal, Abraham did not serve Bread but other three items - And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat - Genesis 18:8
Why Abraham served Calf, Butter and Milk instead of Bread? this explains the meaning for True Living Bread, Here the Calf is representing the Son of the Word, and butter is representing the Son of the Father, and milk are representing the Son of the Holy Spirit, The Cow produced the butter and milk for his own Calf not for any Human, but when the Calf is slaughtered for our transgression, the Butter(Grace of Father) and Milk(Power of Holy Spirit) also served along with the Calf, that was the reason God provided the Manna with three unique quality - 7.Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance like that of bdellium. 8.The people went about and gathered it and ground it in handmills or beat it in mortars and boiled it in pots and made cakes of it. And the taste of it was like the taste of cakes baked with oil - Numbers 11:7-8
Why Sarah did not make a bread? because Christ must born at the appointed time from the womb of Mary, that was the reason Sarah did not make a bread - 9.And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent. 10.And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him - Genesis 18:9-10.
When Isaac was born, God did not appear either to Abraham or Sarah, which is also confirms that God's promise that "I will certainly return" is fulfilled only at the birth of Jesus Christ - 1.Then the Lord took note of Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had promised. 2.So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him. 3.Abraham named his son who was born to him, the son whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac - Genesis 21:1-3
And finally, Christ born in the lineage of Sarah and Said - I AM THE LIVING BREAD that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh - John 6:51
If God appeared as three men to Abraham and promised that "I will certainly return", should not we expect him as a three person? the only one who transfigured and showed his Trinity is our Lord Jesus Christ, And Apostle Paul also confirmed that the promise is for the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ - For this is the word of promise At this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son - Romans 9:9
Three Wells
Jesus Christ is God of Trinity, in the mean time all three of them are one and indivisible, and this is how God taught this to Isaac, Isaac dug three wells, but he could not poses them and had to move out - 17.So Isaac departed from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there. 18.And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped[filled with dirt] after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them. 19.But when Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well of spring water, 20.the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen, saying, The water is ours. So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him. 21.Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that also, so he called its name Sitnah. 22.And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, saying, For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land - Genesis 26:17-22
When Isaac could not poses these three wells, God lead him to Beersheba and gave him a single well, this single well is our Lord Jesus Christ - 23.From there he went up to Beersheba. 24.And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham's sake. 25.So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the Lord and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac's servants dug a well - Genesis 26:23-25
And these three wells were originally dug by Abraham, but Philistines filled them with dirt, It's a prophetical event which teaches Christ's crucifixion and the suffering of the Son of the Father, Son of the Word, and Son of the Holy Spirit, and then Isaac dug those wells again, which teaches Christ's resurrection.
Covenant with Three Men
God promised to Abraham, that He will make a covenant with Isaac that we can see in this Bible verse - I will establish my covenant with Isaac - Genesis 17:21, And after the time of Isaac, God told to Moses that he made a covenant with Isaac that also we can see here - The Lord said to Moses, Depart; go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, To your offspring I will give it - Exodus 33:1
But when we read Isaac's life, we could not find any incident that God made a covenant with Isaac, but Bible do have a record that three men made a covenant with Isaac, in that two names are appearing only once in the Bible, who are they? - 26.Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phichol the commander of his army. 27.And Isaac said to them, Why have you come to me, since you hate me and have sent me away from you? 28.But they said, We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said, Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you - Genesis 26:26-28
When Christ appeared to Abraham as three men, no name was specified, but when Christ appeared to Isaac, Isaac thought he was talking to the rulers of Philistines, and Bible translator also translated based on Isaac's experience with Abimelech, but actually the three men were talking about how the Lamb of God was given instead of Isaac at Mount Moriah, and saved him - 29.that you will do us no harm, since we have not touched you, and since we have done nothing to you but good and have sent you away in peace. You are now the blessed of the Lord. 30.So he made them a feast, and they ate and drank. 31.Then they arose early in the morning and swore an oath with one another; and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace - Genesis 26:29-31
And right after the covenant, the well of Beersheba[Jesus Christ] started giving fresh water where Isaac spent his rest of the life - 32.It came to pass the same day that Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well which they had dug, and said to him, “We have found water.” 33.So he called it Shebah. Therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day - Genesis 26:32-33
Beersheba means well at Shebah[Seven or Oath] which is our Lord Jesus Christ - Who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands - Rev 2:1 & He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars - Rev 3:1
