I am "Gods"
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Father, Son of the Word, and Son of the Holy Spirit
Jesus Christ is the Son of the Father, Son of the Word, and Son of the Holy Spirit
Previous Chapter: Trinity of Jesus Christ
When Lord commanded his disciples to baptize "in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit," the disciples who knew the secret, baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and declared that Jesus is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that we saw in the previous chapter.
Many times Christ spoke about his Trinity in parables, but the people with the religion identity, don't want to listen what Christ is saying, but argued, how can you say, "you are God?", that's when Christ asked, did not your law says, "I am Gods" - 30.I and the Father are one. 31.The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. 32.Jesus answered them, I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me? 33.The Jews answered him, It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God. 34.Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your Law, I said, you are Gods? 35.If he called them gods to whom the word of God came and Scripture cannot be broken. 36.do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? - John 10:30-36
So here, Jesus himself confirmed that he is not just the Son of the Word, but also the Son of the Father, and the Son of the Holy Spirit, that was the reason, the prophet Asaph called Jesus Christ as "Gods" and "Sons of the Most High" in the plural - 6.I said, You are Gods, Sons of the Most High, all of you. 7.nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince. 8.Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations - Psalm 82:6-8
When we understands Christ's Trinity, all these prophecies would directly point to only one person that is Jesus Christ, other wise we may ended up including disciples with Christ or we may ended up putting ourselves in the place of Christ, which is so dangerous.
Like this there are many prophecies have been spoken in plural, when Prophet Isaiah mentioned "your eyes shall see your Teachers", the disciples who saw the transfiguration of Christ, or the Abraham who saw Christ as three men would understand, Teachers means Jesus Christ, otherwise it can point to anybody in the world - 19.For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; You shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; When He hears it, He will answer you. 20.And though the Lord gives you The bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, But your eyes shall see your teachers - Isaiah 30:19-20
When pharisees accused Christ for not keeping the Sabbath, why did Christ compared Himself to "the priests" instead of "just one priest", because he is the God of Trinity - 5.Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless? 6.I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. 7.And if you had known what this means, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless. 8.For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath - Matthew 12:5-8
When the lepers approached Christ for healing, instead of saying, “Show yourselves to Me” He said, “Show yourselves to the priests” and only one of them showed his thanks to Jesus Christ, the Son of the Word, the Son of the Father, the Son of the Holy Spirit - 14.When Jesus saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15.Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16.and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17.Then Jesus answered, Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? - Luke 17:14-17
When Lord said to Nicodemus "We speak what We know and testify what We have seen", the common understanding about this statement is, Christ and His disciples used to see Heavenly Father, and Christ is trying to explain this to Nicodemus, but Bible is very clear that no one except Jesus Christ has seen the Father [John 6:46], then why did Christ say, "We speak what We know and testify what We have seen", it's because, the Son of the Father, and the Son of the Holy Spirit also as a whole and individual person came save us with Son of the Word, Jesus Christ - 11. Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? John 3:11-12
When Christ said to the Samaritan woman, "We worship what we know", Is He talking about his disciples? No, not at all, actually Christ is talking about the Son of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit - 21.Jesus said to her, Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22.You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews - John 4:21-22
Again Christ talked about the "Angels" who can always see the face of Heavenly Father? When Bible clearly say that Jesus Christ alone can see the Heavenly Father, Who are those Angels? that is Christ Himself, Since He is the Son of the Word, the Son of the Father, and the Son of the Holy Spirit, He used the word "Angels" in plural - 10.Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. 11.For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost - Matthew 18:10-11
Why did the Lord ask, "who has believed what he heard from us?" did disciples also proclaimed the gospel with Christ? its very clear that Christ alone was preaching the Gospel, then why did he say "from us"? The reason is that with the Son of the Word, there was the Son of the Father and the Son of the Holy Spirit - 36.While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light. When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them. 37.Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, 38.so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? - John 12:36-38
